Open Coaching and Zone Squad Qualifier  NB:  All Sailors £25 at this venue

ITCA East Open Coaching is open to Topper sailors of all abilities, and will be tailored to the sailors who attend each session. We will work to a maximum ratio of 1 coach to 10 sailors, however wherever possible this will be reduced. East area coaches are highly experienced race coaches and some of them also coach the RYA's zone squads and junior squads.

Please note a parent will either need to be present at the sailing club at all times or nominate another parent to act in loco parentis. It is also important that sailors wear the correct sailing kit, because some of the training will take place during very cold winter months. If you have any questions relating to suitable kit, please just ask.

The day will normally start at 9:30am with boats rigged & sailors in keep fit gear. Finishing time will be dependant on the daylight and conditions, however we will normally be done around 4:30pm. Sailors need note pads and pens for coaching days - top sailors keep their notes to refer to throughout their sailing career. Please also remember to have a drink at all times and you may need snacks for on the water.

Parents may be asked to volunteer to crew the coach boats, so let us know if you are willing to go out on the water.

Ideally you should be a member of ITCA to join the coaching, however you can attend up to 2 days of our coaching in your first season before becoming a member. Please follow the main website link to the membership page which gives you the information you need. By becoming a member you get access to a great deal of information, can attend larger events and can also see what other areas in the country get up to.
