Agenda for the International Topper Class Association (Great Britain) (ITCA GBR) AGM

Wednesday 7th August 2024, Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy – time TBC  (approximately 1 hour after sailing finishes)

 

1. The annual report of the Chair of the National Committee Sam Norton

 

2. Election of Honorary Members

Two RYA representatives to be elected - Chris Atherton and Helena Lucas.

The election of Individual Members, Non-Members (who then become Honorary Members), Honorary, Honorary Life Members or representatives of Family or Group Members to serve on the Committee until the next Annual ITCA (GBR) Constitution (Amended December 2023) Section 6 General Meeting unless before that they resign or cease to be a member of the Association.

6. Any proposal of the National Committee or of the International Committee.

Proposed amendments to the Constitution:

 

1) Constitution Section 5 NATIONAL COMMITTEE,

5.8 The committee shall appoint such other key staff members, including a Squad Administrator and Bosun as they see fit to ensure the objectives of the association are met in the most cost effective but efficient manner, who will also be members of the committee.

5.8 The General Committee shall appoint such other key staff members as they see fit to ensure the objectives of the association are met in the most cost effective but efficient manner, who will also be members of the committee.

 

2) Constitution Section 6 GENERAL MEETING,

6.1 The Annual General Meeting of the Association shall be held at such venue, at such time on such date between 1 March and 30 September in each year as the Committee may determine. The date of the meeting shall be announced at least two months in advance.

6.1 The Annual General Meeting of the Association shall be held either virtually via an online meeting platform or at such venue, at such time on such date between 1 March and 30 September in each year as the Committee may determine. The date of the meeting shall be announced at least 35 days in advance.

 

3) Constitution Section 6 GENERAL MEETING,

6.2 A Special General Meeting of the Association shall be held at such venue, at such time and on such date as the Chair or in default the Vice-Chair of the National Committee, shall determine within 56 days of the Secretary receiving a demand in writing stating the business to be transacted and signed by not less than 20 members.

5) Constitution – all,

All references to 'he/him' shall be changed to 'they/their'.
